Painting (and not)

For the past 10 years I've saved my TO DO lists with the idea that I would make something out of them. This is only a small pile of them. Most of them are embedded in my journals, but sometimes I tear one out and carry it around. I get great satisfaction from crossing off. I've been known to add something just to cross it off. Sick, isn't it? I put these shots together because it's the great battle of my life...paint, or "to do". I'd love to hear how others are with this dilemma. I'd love to hear about your TO DO lists too.

In the Garden

These beauties are fresh from the garden. It's been raining since yesterday so I rescued some blooms from being squashed into the dirt. All these shards come from our back garden. Whenever we dig we find them. Our house was built in 1763, when there were no "transfer stations". When it broke, out it went. I always wonder where the rest of the dish is. Why do we only find a tiny piece?

Everyday Beauty

I am appreciating the light and beauty that is all around me today. Winter is truly over and the garden is starting to come on full blast because of all the sun and warmth we've had. I won't be needing some of these scarves again until fall, but I always keep them handy because they are so beautiful to look at. I love textiles.
