Bookstores in NYC

These photos are from the today's NYT, here. It's a mouthwatering article about bookstores in NYC that specialize in art books. If you don't have the urge to get there one way or another then I just don't know what is wrong with you! I love bookstores more than I can say, and I hope they never disappear, although we have lost most of ours in recent years in my area. I try to support my local independent bookseller as much as possible.

So true! Love bookstores too. I love my internet and my Kobo, but there is something totally 'hands on' about a book that can't be replaced. I also loved your previous post about the Falling Garden installation- how poetic and beautiful! xx

I love books and bookstores. The internet/computer are great for many many things but NOTHING replaces a book. My favorite book place in NYC is The Strand, what selection!

Vivienne, thanks! I've been to the bookstore in Peterbourough and it's pretty decent I thought. Have you found others over there?
