In the Studio

I'm still exploring pattern and splashy dots. I think I'm in one of those places where something new is trying to come together. But, boy do I have what my mother used to call "cabin fever"! I just can't get comfortable with anything. I think all time spent working is useful, but sometimes it just doesn't feel that way. I've got three large paintings that are just sitting in my studio waiting for me to figure out what to do next. Onward.

Love them all, especially the first little piece. I'm in the same spot working on something new and feeling useless and restless. Just keep at it, keep going to the studio, it will click!

Oh thanks Kathryn. I need some encouragement! I do not always trust the process when I know it is wiser than me. But I will keep going into that studio, even when I'm gritting my teeth.

Lari,
You are not alone! I have so many projects waiting for me but I don't seem to have the energy to finish them right now. I think it's the Winter doldrums! Hopefully this too will pass! I love your experiments with line & pattern, keep at it!!

Hi Lari, I love the subtleties of the first piece and the palette and graphic quality of the second piece.

It's always interesting when ideas find their way and how we keep ourselves open to following them where they go! Lovely beginnings here.
