Inspiration

Can you stand it?! These are illustrations of drawings from a book published in 1929 called Anatomia Vegetal that I found at BibliOdessy, here. Sometimes when I have the urge to just sit and draw for hours and hours (it happens quite often) I wonder where the lines come from. Maybe it's all just the map of the cells I am lost in by being a living form on this Earth. I take such comfort in that thought.

Oh, I LOVE those books! And I've a lot of book about cells, about all sort of medical stuff - I can understand your fascination quite well and also the urge to draw these kind of lines and patterns! And I saw it in your work and I liked it at first sight!

Wow, those drawings look so 'modern' and hip.

Thanks B. & K. I think all three of us appreciate this kind of pattern and detail. I could look at these all day, but I have to get into the studio and start drawing!
