These are altered postcard collages I did a number of years ago. I made about 300 0f these and framed about 50 of them for a show in double layers of plexi (which is why these photos are not too sharp) so that the backs could also be seen since I worked both sides of each postcard. I decided to put them up here since I want to continue a few posts on collage. I have been thinking about this because of the film "How to Draw a Bunny" which I recently watched. It is about the life of Ray Johnson who was the "father of Mail Art" and made incredible collages. He considered his whole life a collage, and in fact some think he planned his own death as a collage.
I am an artist working in watercolor, acrylic, and collage. I live in a small village on the coast of Maine. I blog to connect and share my art and my everyday life with others. It's a place where I can touch down to document what I experience as an artist.
