Sophie Truong

This is the beautiful work of Sophie Truong. She uses reclaimed teabags for this body of work, stitching and shaping them and making them into hangings and sculptures. Her art is full of texture and layers of detail. It is so rich. I think all the time that goes into this meditative work imbues them with a unique depth and character. Thank you Sophie for allowing me to share your work here.

Some people are just so clever! I love that she's doing this...it inspires me and can you imagine using the tea bag "canvas" for line or watercolor drawings?

Her work knocks me out!

I love the idea of this! I do sketches from tea stains but never thought to do anything with the dried bag. The color/texture of the bags is warm and comforting to me. I wonder if they gently give off a scent of tea since there's so many of them.
