I like this book by Amy Butler so much. It is Amy Butler's Midwest Modern. It is full of ideas and great photographs. I took a shot of my mom's Mexican pottery on a tablecloth I made from Amy Butler fabric. My parents got these wonderful pieces on a trip they took to Mexico and the western states when they were young. I treasure them and use them often.
We went to a family wedding in Miami Beach this weekend. It was held at the Ancient Spanish Monastery, which is very beautiful. We went to Little Havana and to South Beach, where we were in a cafe just as a crew was doing a fashion shoot. The beach combing yielded this collection of coral. It is just another world there which I can't wrap my mind around easily. 
I love collage. Here are a few I did recently that I wanted to put up on my Etsy shop, but they just don't reproduce well enough. I may offer them as originals if I can get a good enough photo. Here is a wonderful artist that Erika passed on to me.He is Gustavo Aimar. Another amazing collage blog Erika told me about is this one. I am working on a series of collages now that are explorations of color and mood. I love paper. I save all paper I can get my hands on...which means I need more bins in my studio to store it all in. I have this elaborate system of boxes of little shapes and colors. It makes sense to me, and is a collage of sorts in and of itself.
