I finished my sketchbook for the Sketchbook Project and sent it in yesterday. I'm glad to have it finished, and a bit sad to say goodbye to it forever. I got very engrossed in the little stories that presented themselves every day as subjects. I didn't always know what they were about, but I knew they had meaning. This kind of looking at daily-ness (if that's a word) is becoming more and more important to me, and nudging into my work more often.

Sending in your book is so exciting!! I wasn't able to participate this past year due to school, but I just signed up for their sister project: the fiction project. SO excited to start!! Thanks for sharing your pages!
Looks great!
I would have had a hard time letting go of your sketchbook too since it's so beautifully done! Congrats on completing it! I shipped mine off on Friday, woo hoo. I'll keep a lookout for yours.
congratulations, it looks amazing x
Thank you all so much for the kind comments! Ill look for yours in Portland on March 30 Kathryn! The Fiction Project sounds fun too!
Your sketchbook looks wonderful! I wish I had been aware of this project in time to participate. lthough I love painting, I think art-journaling is my absolute favorite art form. Something about it is so liberating and fun. Perhaps it's just that, as a language arts teacher, a book or a journal is less intimidating to me than a canvas!
Kathy, you should check out the project for next year. You can really do anything in that little sketchbook!
Thanks Blissful!
