These are the work of London-based artist Helen Carnac. They are enamel...something you don't see often. My mother used to work in this medium, and I remember the magical quality of melted glass glazes on copper. But these are completely different. The colors and the little hint of rustiness and the mark-making are just so beautiful. Her blog is here.

oh wow! i'm hoping to go to play with some ceramics with a friend of mine who is a ceramic artist and this is just so making me want to do it right now...lovely.
