I wish I had the courage to do this to a wall in my house. I've always wanted to do a mural or some kind of interesting paint effect, but then I think if how I might choke and not be able to pull it off with verve. And I'm sure this would not work if you had the slightest doubt. Has anyone out there done a mural in their home? I'd love to know your strategy. I don't know where this image came from, so sorry about no attribution. The photo is via Nicole Hill Gerulat's blog A Little Sussy, here.
I give you permission Lari! Do it!!

ReplyDeleteoh, i have the courage just not the permission. my husband would not go for it :-).
ReplyDeleteWell, there is that!
ReplyDeleteI know this is an older post, but I'll comment anyway =). You should do a mural! They are very fun. I have done several and the first time is always scary. Something that helped me was to stand back with a broom or something very long with a pencil taped to it (yes, a very high-tech tool) and just sketch what I wanted to do out on the wall. That way you're not so close up that you lose perspective.
ReplyDeleteAlso, keep in mind that if you don't do it right the first time you can go right back over it. And if you're scared, always do a practice on a piece of paper or something first. Measure twice, cut once, right =)
